Whipped avocado and feta on toast: ingredients
To make these delicious sourdough toasts, you will need:
- Sourdough
- Fresh chives
Whipped avocado and feta
- Avocado
- Feta
- Garlic
- Lemon juice
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Roasted tomatoes
- Cherry tomatoes
- Olive oil
- Mixed herbs
How to make roast tomato sourdough toast
Firstly, roast the tomatoes. Toss the tomatoes in the olive oil and mixed herbs. Roast them in a preheated oven or air fryer until cooked through.
Meanwhile, make the whipped avocado and feta. Add the avocados, feta, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper to a food processor. Process on a high speed until creamy.
Toast the sourdough slices and spread with the whipped avocado and feta. Top each slice with six tomatoes each. Season with a little more salt and pepper before sprinkling over the chives. Finally. squeeze over a little more lemon juice, and serve!
Vegan whipped avocado and feta
If you’d like to make this recipe vegan, simply replace the feta with vegan feta. The Violife vegan Greek white block is super creamy!
How to whip avocado
To make the whipped avocado and feta, you will need a food processor. You must also ensure that the avocados are ripe and not too hard.
What to serve with roasted tomatoes on sourdough toast
I liked to serve this toast with a side salad. I served mine with mixed leaves. You could also add olives, red onion, and peppers.

Whipped Avocado and Feta on Toast
Ingredients
- 4 large slices sourdough
- 1 tbsp fresh chives finely sliced
Whipped avocado and feta
- 2 ripe avocados
- 150g feta crumbled
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Tomatoes
- 24 cherry tomatoes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175℃/155℃ fan (350℉/310℉).
- Toss the tomatoes in the oil and mixed herbs. Tip into a roasting dish and arrange in one layer. Roast for 20 minutes, or until well cooked, tossing halfway through. Alternatively air fry for 170℃/340℉ for around 10 minutes, or until well roasted. Toss half way through.
- Meanwhile, make the whipped feta and avocado. Add all of the ingredients for the whipped feta and avocado to a food processor. Process on a high speed until creamy. Taste and add more salt, pepper, lemon, juice, and/or olive oil to taste.
- Toast your sourdough and spread each slice with the whipped avocado and feta. Top each slice with 6 tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle over the fresh chives and squeeze over a little more lemon juice. Enjoy!
