Kewpie Mayo Ramen Hack

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pack of your favourite ramen I recommend Shin ramen or Jin ramen
  • 1 tbsp Kewpie mayo
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 spring onion, green part only sliced
  • sesame seeds to serve

Method
 

  1. Add the Kewpie mayo, egg yolk, minced garlic and the ramen seasoning to a ramen bowl. You can use ½ of the ramen seasoning for a less salty flavour. Whisk to combine.
  2. Boil a pot of 500ml water. Cook the noodles and any vegetable flakes for 30 seconds less than suggested by the packet instructions.
  3. Reserve half of the water before draining the noodles.
  4. Add a ladleful of the ramen water to the mayo mix and whisk until combined. For a soupier ramen whisk in the remaining reserved ramen water.
  5. Add the noodles to the broth and sprinkle over the spring onion and sesame seeds.
